Cradle position with the stretch wrap

How to knot

How to knot

Start from the same point with whichever position you may want to use for baby. The steps are the same and you can change baby to the desired position as often as required.

In the cradle position, if it is used for breastfeeding, baby must be placed tummy to tummy with you and you must check the height of his head. If he wants to be lying in the wrap but wants to see outwards, he can be turned facing outwards. One inconvenience of this position is that baby is a little heavier because he is not as close to you.

Here are the basic steps in understanding how to knot the cradle position with the stretch wrap:

You can even pass the baby under the wrap to insert him or simply spread the cross in front of you and slide him in.

Spread out each side of the wrap in width so that you can support baby with all of the layers of material.

Bring up the belt of material to cover baby and give additional support to him.

If your baby is not high enough to breastfeed naturally it is probably because the wrap was not tightened enough. It is possible but very difficult to make the adjustments when baby is already in the wrap.
