Here are the basic steps in understanding how to knot the frog position in the stretch wrap:
Spread one side of the “X” in front to insert the leg of your baby. Remember to keep him snugly against you.
Spread the other side to insert the other leg so that baby is sitting in the “X”.
Unfold each side of the wrap so that it covers the width of baby from knee to knee. With the lower edge, bring it up to cover your babies bottom and lift the legs into a frog position.
,
Bring the upper edge to ear level or lower for an older baby who wants to see what’s going on around him.
Take the part of the wrap that forms a belt and pass it over the legs of your baby
Cover the back of the baby with this one.
,
Pull the wrap down over your shoulders to equalize the weight. Make sure the “X” is evenly covering baby’s bottom and is not bunched up under him. Verify the frog position again. If it becomes difficult to place your babies legs bent up, this means that the weight of the baby is too much for the stretch wrap and that maybe a woven wrap would be more adequate.
