Sling on your tummy (Frog position)

How to knot

How to knot

Once the knot is done, you can bring the baby around yourself, either on your tummy, hip or the back by sliding   it with the wrap. It maybe handy to pass baby onto your back when you need to handle things far from babies hands.

Here are the basic steps in understanding how to knot the sling on your tummy (Frog position):

Put the baby over your shoulder and slide his feet through the wrap onto your hip.

Place his legs properly by hugging in his pelvis to you and pushing the knees upwards. Bring the upper edge higher than baby’s head.

Adjust the tension in the wrap before completing the knot.

If you hold the lower part of the wrap firmly with the hand that is supporting baby, with the other hand you will be able to adjust the whole width of the wrap by pulling upwards so baby will be close to you and the material hugs his back.

Make a double knot so that the material does not slide once it is well adjusted. To place your child in front, just slide the wrap with baby in it to the required position.  Hint: remember what edge was on top if you have to take off the wrap without redoing the knot the next time you use it.
